The inspiration for the book came from my personal involvement and tremendous experience in equestrian therapy for kids at Carousel Ranch in Santa Clarita, CA.
Equestrian therapy is the use of horses as a central therapeutic means to help kids with various needs whether physical or mental. Children's disabilities and special needs provides an opportunity for the assist strengthening their bodies with exercise, games, movement, and interaction.
As the end of the book says, the children, families, friends, and helpers are all heroes on horses!
